I want my employer to adopt
a smoke-free policy.
Where do I start?
If you work for an organization that allows smoking in or around the workplace, you can use information you find on this site to encourage your employer to adopt a smoke-free policy for the benefit of all employees.
In the interest of gathering information to support your drive for a smoke-free policy and to convince your employers that adopting a smoke-free policy is a good idea, visit the Why go smoke free? section of this site. You'll find information about the health consequences of smoking and of secondhand smoke, the costs to employers of smoking in the workplace, and the benefits of a smoke-free workplace, all of which can be used to help convince your employer that adopting a smoke-free policy would be in the best interest of the organization and its employees.
Once you have convinced your employer that a smoke-free policy is a good idea, you can use the tools and resources in the Make it happen! section of this site to attain your policy goals.
