My company is deciding whether to adopt a
smoke-free policy.  How do we get started?

The information in the Why go smoke free?  section of this site will help your organization in its decision to adopt a smoke-free policy.  You'll find information about the health consequences of smoking and of secondhand smoke, the costs to employers of smoking in the workplace, and the benefits of a smoke-free workplace, all of which can be used to help convince your employer that adopting a smoke-free policy would be in the best interest of the organization and of its employees.  You can find information about the different types of policies (and their advantages and disadvantages) in the Policy options section of this site. 

Once you have decided that a smoke-free policy is the right idea for your organization, you can use the tools and resources in the Make it happen! section of this site to attain your policy goals.
